Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? Read below for the answers, or get in touch if you're still unsure.
How does shipping work?
Three ways, depending on the piece. Hardware, fixtures and most lighting ship across Canada. The rate depends on the piece and is shown at checkout before you pay. Bigger pieces that still fit in a truck get free local delivery within 50 km on orders of $150 or more. Kitchens, oversized doors and windows and anything freight-sized have an Inquire button instead of Add to Cart.
Do you offer local delivery?
Bigger pieces that still fit in a truck get free local delivery within 50 km on orders of $150 or more.
What happens when I click “Inquire”?
You send us the piece you're interested in and where it needs to go, and we come back to you with delivery options and a total. There's no obligation. Most of our large pieces have always sold this way - it's a conversation, not a barrier.
Are items one-of-a-kind?
Most of our salvage is. Once a piece sells, it's gone. We mark sold items as Sold and leave them up for a while so you can see the kinds of things that move through, and if you spot something in there you wish you'd caught, tell us and we'll watch for another.
Can I see something in person before I buy?
Yes - viewings at the warehouse are by appointment. Get in touch and we'll set a time.
Do you offer pickup?
Yes, and it's free. Choose pickup at checkout and we'll arrange a time.
Do you offer returns?
Most salvage is sold as-is and is final sale. These are old pieces, and the wear is part of what you're buying. We describe condition as accurately as we can and photograph the flaws as well as the good parts. If something arrives damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days with photos and we'll make it right.
What if I'm looking for something specific?
Ask. We have far more inventory than fits online at any one time, and new salvage comes in every week. Send a description and a photo if you have one, and we'll keep an eye out and let you know when something matches.
Do you buy materials?
Selectively, yes. Windows, doors, cabinetry, hardware and light fixtures in resaleable condition. Send us photos and we'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can take.
